This 5-day exploration of the Bolivian Amazon promises some of the purest flora and fauna experiences in all of South America and features plenty of opportunities to see pink river dolphins, monkeys, turtles, capybaras, caimans, and countless birds throughout. Enchanting and absorbing, Untouched Bolivian Amazon crosses a variety of wildlife habitats from mountain forests, to highlands, tropical rainforests, and lowland savannas.

Day by Day Itinerary
Morning flight to Rurrenabaque. Begin our Rurrenabaque tour with a trip north through the lowlands, crossing the towns of Reyes and Santa Rosa, to then enter the Yacuma River with a rich gallery forest with lots of animals mainly in the dry season from April to November, great to see fauna. Overnight in hotel.
Overnight: Caracoles Lodge
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Bolivia’s Amazon tour continues with a boat trip seeing the mammals like pink river dolphins, monkeys, turtles, capybaras, caimans, as well as good birding like the macaws. Trip back to Rurrenabaque. Overnight at Hotel
Overnight: Maya de la Amazonia hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Morning boat trip first in the Beni and then Tuichi Rivers to Chalalan (5-6 hours). Walk through the forest to the lodge (½ hour) at the shores of the Chalalan lagoon, lunch and rest. In the afternoon you’ll learn of Madidi NP and the project of the community. Trek through the Chichilo and Mirador trails focusing the field of construction. Dinner and trek to see the rich night wildlife in the rainforest.

While on this Madidi National Park tour you’ll trek in the Silbador, Mutua and Anta trails to see the fields of fruit, medicinal and exotic plants. Lunch and time to swim in the lagoon. In the afternoon you’ll enjoy didactic games or see the bibliography of the project. Then trek in the Wichi and Jaguar trails and focus the area of artisan plants and also enjoy birdwatching. After dinner, traditional histories and legends of the locals from San Jose de Uchupiamonas.
Overnight: Chalalan Ecolodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Early breakfast and departure, hiking to the port and then take the boat downstream the Tuichi and Beni Rivers to Rurrenabaque (3 hours). Flight to La Paz with both transfers.
