THURSDAY. LA PAZ/PUNO / COPACABANA / YAMPUPATA / ISLAND OF THE SUN / ECOLODGE LA ESTANCIA
Begin this Bolivia tour from La Paz or Puno to Copacabana on private transportation (3 ½ hours), a nice town in the shores of Lake Titicaca, continue to La Gruta, where the hike starts (3 hours) going up an Inca trail until the pass with an amazing views of the area. Box-lunch included Continue to Yampupata. Hike down to the bay and take a boat to the Island of the Sun (30 min), the sacred spot of the Incas, land near Pilkokaina ruins, visit them and hike for about one hour to overnight in Ecolodge La Estancia. FRIDAY. ISLAND OF THE SUN / BOAT TO LA CHINCANA / HIKE ACROSS THE ISLAND OF THE SUN
DON’T MISS A GREAT SUNRISE! Take a boat to the northern part of the island, visit La Chincana ruins and Sacred Rock (1 hour), and then hike crossing most of the island back to the Ecolodge (3 hours). SATURDAY. ISLAND OF THE SUN / COPACABANA / CONDORIRI / LA PAZ
Hike through the village of Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, to take the boat to Copacabana (1 hour). Transportation to “La Rinconada” at the foothills of the Andes Range. After lunch (box-lunch) hike about 2 hours to Chiarkota Lagoon and back. Return to La Paz. Overnight in hotel. (BL)
